ResinTech SIR-500 is a sodium form macroporous chelating weak acid cation resin. Its unique chelating functionality is particularly selective for alkaline earth metals such as calcium and divalent transition metals such as copper and nickel. pH adjustment is usually required before first use. SIR-500 is intended for the removal of hardness from saturated brine and the removal of various metals from wastewater and process streams.
