Nitrates are colorless, odorless and tasteless compounds that occur naturally when organic matter decomposes in nature. Potassium and ammonium nitrates accuring in drinking water as a result of their pervasive use in lawn and garden fertilizers. High levels of nitrate can turn skin to a bluish or gray color and cause more serious health effects like weakness, excess heart rate, fatigue, and dizziness.

Aries nitrate reduction cartridges use ResinTech® SIR-100-HP resin. Its unique functionality offers twenty-five times greater nitrate affinity than standard strong-based anion resins. This cartridge reduces nitrates efficiently with low leakage, and eliminates the possibility of nitrate dumping upon exhaustion. Sized to fit standard slimline and big blue housings.
