Perchlorate derives from some munitions, fireworks, and road flares and some nitrate-based fertilizer products and can be present in groundwater and well water. It is one of a newly recognized group of toxins called endocrine disrupters, which can alter hormonal levels, by interfering with iodide uptake in the thyroid gland. Aries Perchlorate Reduction cartridges use ResinTech® SIR-110-HP, a strong base anion resin exhibiting an unusually high preference for perchlorate as well as certain PFAS compounds. The cartridge's perchlorate reduction capacity is virtually unaffected by the presence of sulfates. Sized to fit standard Slim and BB housings.
