ResinTech has successfully completed its ISO 9001 recertification audit, reaffirming our commitment to consistent quality and continuous improvement across our operations.
The eight-day audit covered operations for our media formulation and filterworks division at our Camden, New Jersey headquarters and Gardena, California facility. Auditors reviewed our Quality Management System (QMS), procedures, documentation and training records, observed processes, and met directly with employees responsible for carrying them out.
The scope of the audit is important. ISO 9001 recertification isn't simply a review of whether the right documentation exists. Auditors look at whether established processes are understood, followed and maintained throughout the organization — and whether the quality system is working in everyday practice. That means successful recertification starts long before the auditors arrive.
In preparation for the audit, employees across the company reviewed and refined QMS documentation, confirmed procedures, updated training records and made sure our documented processes accurately reflected the way we actually work.
But preparation alone doesn't produce a successful audit. It depends on people throughout the organization consistently following those processes and taking responsibility for quality within their own areas.
“An audit of this scope touches virtually every part of the organization,” said ResinTech President, Larry Gottlieb. “The successful outcome reflects not only the work that went into preparing for the audit, but what our employees do every day to maintain our quality standards. This was truly a team effort.”
ISO 9001 is an internationally recognized standard for quality management systems. It provides a framework for organizations to establish consistent processes, monitor performance, address issues and continually improve.
