Chromate Reduction Filter Cartridge (Drop-in)

Aries Chromate Reduction Cartridges contain ResinTech SIR-700 media for the selective reduction of Chromate. The contaminant made famous by the movie ‘Erin Brockovich’ is present in more places than you might expect. Frequent exposure to HEX-chrome has been know to cause cancers of the respiratory and digestive systems as well as liver and kidney damage, skin and nasal irritation, ulcers, and damage to the eyes. The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has set the maximum level of total chromium permitted in U. S. drinking water at 100 ppb although some states have established lower limits of 50 ppb or less. Chromate Reduction cartridges come in four (4) sizes suitable for use with standard residential and industrial housings.
